Graduation!
Graduation!
This past week, Christina graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in Theatre Performance… MAGNA CUM LAUDE! And yes she rocked that soft pink pantsuit at TD Garden. Can we get a woot woot!
During her four years at Northeastern, Christina was heavily involved in student life on campus. She was a member of the Northeastern Cheerleading team, Silver Masque (Student-led theatre organization that focused on creating new work), and the Department of Theatre. She had prominent roles in five main stage productions, and wrote and directed her own 10 minute play as part of Silver Masque’s new play initiative. Her original One Act, A Fine Line, had it’s premiere at the Spring 2017 Playwriting Readings.
Christina was able to complete and independent study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art during her junior year, where she studied Shakespeare and other classical texts. The summer before her senior year, Christina trained at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco with their Summer Training Congress. She studied Meisner, Chekhov, Improv, Shakespeare, and the art of “staying in the shit”, as her acting teacher Warren David Keith would say.
Later this summer, Christina will be moving to NYC to pursue her dream of performing on NYC stages! For now, she will return to Beijing, China, to spend time with her family before her next big adventure.
